PROJECT DESCRIPTION

LADA Institute undertook this consultation for the training of Ghanaian Police-Prosecutors in specific areas of criminal prosecution and general principles of law and criminal and justice. This was aimed at addressing the apparent gap in the education and skills of police officers who are appointed to prosecute crimes on behalf of the Attorney-General. At the end of the program, participants were expected to have learnt the key concepts of combating crime in such a manner as to improve their efficiency and competence in practical terms. The program also aimed to improve the relationship between actors of the criminal justice system and ordinary citizens, majority of whom have a perceived bias of the judicial process.
